What people glamour about him is he was put in a great light by the UFC because of his competition during his good run. He is more of a product of lesser competition then a top tier fighter.

I would like to hear your top 10? Just asking not bashing!

Aleksander will never be a top 5 fighter in a class with competition. You can quote that.
And you are blind if you think that Gonzaga is anything but a flash in the pan. But those are another story.
The decision between Nog and Werdum was a decent tilt. And I see the win from Arlovski. But I still don't see how most can say Arlovski is great cause he has 'potential' show it.

So far you've dismissed 3-4 hw's that are always branded top 10 by many. I would love to see who you would give top 10 rank to also?

AA has the talent to beat any HW out there. just seems like he has lost that aggressive style he once had. it's almost like he is tentative when fighting because he is scared of getting KO'd. doesn't help that he is in a contract squabble with the UFC at the moment.

The big thing with Arlovski isn't just something you can see from the fight finder. He ran over Eilers and Buentello like a train, made cabbage look thoroughly outclassed and went on to prove he could hang with good grapplers by beating Pe De Pano and Werdum.
He easily beat Sylvia back when Sylvia was considered to be an inoffensive ko generating machine. If Sylvia had any less of a chin that shot he took in the second fight would have laid him out. And if AA hadn't gotten excited and rushed in, he likely would have gotten the ko later anyway. And in the third fight he injured himself so that's no real test.

+1 Well said. I just like to watch his fights... his last one was off so I hope he gets back to his old ways again.

Im not saying these fighters are not in textbook top 10 rankings. Im asking why Arlovski is so adored.
When I say Aleks will never be a top 5 with good competition. I mean by my opinion, that if he was put in an org with quality fighters hes not top notch. I don't know where he sits with you. As for Sylvia, he prolly sits around 5+ in rankings. I still don't think he is anything special. Me listing a top 10 is nothing but trouble on this board. Its never good or right.
My top 10 is prolly just about the same as what is written on paper. But why Arlovski should be given shots is why I posted.
I do put Fedor, A.R.N, Barnett, and Couture up close tho.
And im not a fan of 1 of those fighters, to show i'm not bias.

How are you going to say Gonzaga is a flash in the pan? He KO'd Mirko and Broke Randy's arm with his high kicks and thats just his stand up. He is a BJJ expert and most importantly he is still pretty young. We will see if he can revenge his loss to Werdum or if he really is a flash, but I wouldn't dismiss him as flatly as you seem to imply we should.

aside from what i typed earlier, i think if you rewind about a year ago, between the the time AA lost to sylvia the third time and AA's win over Werdum, people on sherdog were saying how overrated AA was, and why did he even get an immediate rematch blah blah blah...basically people adore AA right now like i said in my previous post about UFC not utilizing a decent heavyweight when they are using the guy who lost to him last...sherdoggers are fickle...its like how you want the chick you cant get but when some semi decent chick is all over your cock you turn her down until you are drunk and just want a booty call
