http://www.theglobeandmail.com/servl...ry/Sports/home

Talks about fighters' pays, as well as how unbalanced the incoming and outgoing funds are.

I wonder if they realize that revenue does not equal profit.

Dude the owners of the UFC are the vicitim along with Dana White, UFC was bankrupt and they lost money. They just need a few more shows then im POSITIVE fighter pay will go up, it just has to. Or they could stay the same, its like everyone says they know what are they are making now and still coming, that would be smart business

Why, what do you think their huge overheads are?
Arena rental
Advertising
Athletic commision fees
Fighters

Incomes are:
Sponsorship
Website revenues
PPV revenue
Gate revenue
Concessions
UFC branded merchandise
Foreign TV
TV replay money
DVD sales

Come off it dude. They're making a fortune.

Doubling the undercard fighters' salaries would cost them another 50-70 thousand dollars. A DROP IN THE FUCKING OCEAN

I think the fighters are making plenty of money and should be happy in th UFC. Who needs healthcare anyway? These guys are tough. Food is overrated anyway. Why would they need to eat? And as far as starting or supporting a family, it shouldn't be a priority for any fighter. Their wives and children can fend for themselves. All that matters is that Dana White and the UFC keep putting together fights like Ortiz vs. Shamrock III that will take our sport to new heights. While they're paying small fortunes to the fighters, they should just go ahead and get rid of a few of the top fighters in the world like Babalu. It's not like this is the toughest sport in the world or anything.
