BJ is a terrible match up for Aoki. My god that would be feeding him to the wolves.
Seriously Aoki would get KTFO within 60 seconds

And before anyone jumps on me, I'm not comparing BJ or Aoki to Fedor or Cro Cop. Just saying that its the same kind of match up where all it will take for Aoki to win is one mistake on BJ's part.
The length of a round matters because with two highly skilled grapplers it takes time and multiple submission attempts in order to sub someone who is at a high level. The longer you are on the ground, the longer someone has to not make a mistake. Another reason A person has a better chance of catching someone in a sub in 10 minutes as opposed to 5, is becuase there is a great chance of someone becoming fatigued and careless.

Agree with you on what you say about the fatigue but also at there level its just who ever makes the first mistake. I think fighters make more mistakes in the first round when they are feeling out the fight than they do in the 2nd and 3rd.

For those of you who think Aoki would beat BJ on the ground come talk to me when he has the same credentials.

I agree with the last points you make, except the facts that you say he's unproven against top competition. Hansen, Kikuchi, Jason Black and Mach Sakurai are scary competition for any light weight fighter.
