The way I see it, Irvin is being brought in as a somewhat recognizeable name (due to his beautiful flying knee on Martin) for Ramirez to win over, which will then set up a rematch between Kendall Grove and Ramirez, giving Grove the chance to avenge his loss.
Grove.... the tufer.. aint he 185

Is Irvin figthing at 185 ?

Yeah, Kyle KO'd him. He's from Sacramento though...or at least trains out of there. Makes sense that he's on the card. Same with Diaz who is from Stockon, 45 mins south.

are you kidding have you seen the bums on the end of UFC in the last 5 shows? James it top talent compared to them, He beat Bo Cantrell, Scott Smith and Doug Marshell, I guess you never seen WEC before...

WEC top fighters are better than all the under cards UFC has had in the last 4 years...

Popular? Probably not.

But he is an exciting fighter with heavy hands and decent stand-up skills.

Of course the problem comes with his wrestling and ground game. He won his last fight by armbar (albeit over a 0-0 fighter) so maybe he's getting better there, but like I said, I think the UFC would be happy with either guy winning this fight. Ramirez win sets up Grove rematch. Irvin wins gives an exciting and relatively young fighter who has one of the better UFC highlight KO's to his credit new life in the org.

I don't know, but if not, I think Ramirez could cut to 185 afterwards.

lets hope he doesnt fake another injury like he did when he fell out of the cage right before B-South hit him square in the nose at Strikeforce.
