Well, there are a few things to be considered. Bang was offered a contract with the UFC before he fought Tyson Griffin, but he turned the offer down because the terms weren't appealing; it goes without saying that the UFC is notorious for not offering a lot of money to the majority of free agents they scout.
For this reason, the smaller promotions (Strikeforce, WFA) have been picking up the slack. Ludwig signed to Strikeforce, turning the UFC deal down, but lost to Tyson Griffin at 155 lbs.
Ludwig's next fight is a K-1 bout in Las Vegas.
Yes, I'd like to see Ludwig back in the UFC. But if they're not going to pay him, then he has absolutely no obligation whatsoever to go back to work for them - even though the UFC fans (at Ultimate Fight Night 3) cheered for him when he said, "I want to stay here in the UFC." He was probably disappointed with the contract that the UFC offered him... after making such a fantastic appearance in the UFC at short notice. Oh well. Yeah, it pisses me off, too.

Duane Ludwig's big wins dont last long cause he soon loses right after in smaller events and that ruins his credibility.

I thought that at first too... but getting KOed in another org certainly didn't hurt Mark Hominick.
Speaking of whom, wouldn't that be a fun matchup? See, makes you wonder why they haven't gotten Bang in the sable yet, seems like it's more than Joe Silva's just been too busy because there's so many good matchups.

No you're partially right. Most fighters dont fight as much as 3 times in between ufc apperances, but lots of fighers dont fight that many times in a year anyways. You're also right about the contract, considering the ufc rarely dishes out multi fight contracts to non "superstars" they usually roll with the 1 fight contracts.

THats also because when he got choked out, it was at 145 lbs

He just fought in the UFC a few months back so what's the story on him? You'd think the UFC would be beating down his door to get him in while they're recruiting back guys like Jens, Hermes, Yves, et al.
Not to mention the fact that Dana loves fighters that get KOs.
Twice now it's come up in conversation with strangers while watching UFC events at bars (UFC59 and 60) since the new TUF fans saw him get that fast KO over Goulet. So what's the story, why isn't he back in the UFC?
|
maybe dana wants jens to make a good come back and dosent want to risk him looseing yet? idk even though that dosent really make sence. i bet we will see him in the ufc in the next year or so

What the hell Homnick got Ko'd after his Yves fight? Was it standing because that guy has some great stand up skills!

Okay, thanks man, that makes a lot of sense. UFC undersold him and he's a hot enough property to not have to take the pay cut to fight in the UFC, I certinaly don't blame him.
Good to know what's going on so I can follow this one. UFC should stop being so stingy and just pony up the cash, damn, not like they're having to pull these things together on shoestring budgets anymore.

Actually I think it was a sub, on second though. Hitsu Hioki put him in a triangle from the mount and pinged his head off the canvas with punches as he was going out.
