If so would you kindly be able to tell us the decision in this Lyoto vs Penn fight? Decision is given at 4:25 - 5:00. Are there actual rounds scored i.e. 28-30 or is the fight scored as a whole?

Japan doesnt use the 10 point must. They decide on who put in more effort overall.

That's what I understand, but I wanted clarification on this bout. This fight was held under K-1 Hero's rules which may have had different scoring?

Sengoku and K1 use a ten point must system. Dream and Hero's judged fights in their entirety.

I didn't think they used a 10 point must system, but they clearly are. It says "Judge (O)Kobayashi 30-29 blue, Lyoto. Judge Tyler(I can't tell because of the pronuciation) 30-30 blue Lyoto(I think it said something about a decision), Judge Uehi(sp) 29-29 blue, Lyoto. Then it says "The winner is Lyoto". Lyoto also apologizes for being boring.

Right, it always makes me cringe when people say the "Japanese scoring system"

If they are using a 10 point must system, how on earth are they coming up with those scores?? 30-29 mean two rounds were a draw, 30-30 mean all three rounds were a draw, and 29-29 means both fighters won one round each with another a draw.

They certainly give out 10-10 rounds a lot easier than in N.America! Or are you pulling our leg?
