andrei's questionable chin

ya know everyone always says that arlovski has a weak chin and all that. and that the last time he got hit was when he fought pedro rizzo and pedro dropped him. i just want to say a couple things, first i do think that his chin is questionable, but i do not think that he has one of the weaking chins in the sport. that one two combo that pedro dropped him with would have dropped just about anyone. and people always say that that was the last time he was hit in a fight. well i know this guy isnt the hardest puncher in the world, but justin eilers connected with arlovski a couple of times. and for those of you that say he didnt connect at all, then explain to me how justin broke one of his hands? yeah, for me to believe that arlovski has a really good chin, i am going to have to see him get hit by a huge shot and keep on going. but even if the guy doesnt have a good chin, what does it matter if no one is able to hit it?

I agree that Pedro hit him hard, and it would have taken out most fighters. I just think AA needs to face some better competition in order to convince people he is a top fighter (like top 2 or 3). I can't bare to watch him fight another Cabbage or some crap like that. We will see what happens after he beats Sylvia.

I know everyone likes to use the Rizzo thread as an example of his having a weak chin, but it's not like those were the only punches that landed on his face - taking shots for 3 rounds with Rizzo at that time, while not necessarily an accomplishment, isn't anything to scoff at either.

As best I can remember the 'KO' - I don't think it was so much his chin as it was his face exploding. He instantly fell, yes, so that's a knock down, but I remember him immediately grabbing his face - That usually tells me the guy is still awake. He was hurt enough to not defend himself, so I'm fine with the stopping of the fight, but I don't think it shows he has a glass chin like people accuse him of. Maybe I'm the one who needs to rewatch the KO though, who knows.

andrei's chin is just an excuse for people to hold AA down. no body is knocking tito for getting KO'd by chuck. no body is knocking franklin for getting KO'd by lyoto.

i mean, KO's happen to about everyone at some point and that is because we are human. but i cant really consider a couple of KO's from years ago (when AA was still early in his career) to be a good measuring stick.

I agree, his chin is not the best in the business, but honestly who can take shots to the chin and not fall at some point during the match? Everyone is still pissed that he got caught by Slyvia during their second match, alot of money was riding on Andrei that night. In his last fight, he seemed more cautious and less aggressive possibly still feeling that hit to the chin perhaps. When the old explosive Andrei comes back(if that happens), I would really like to see how he fares after being caught on the chin by Slyvia.

Ever time he takes a puunch he gets hurt. Good for him he does not get hit much. Name one fighter in in the top 20 to have a weaker chin.

One problem, pedro never hit him on the chin.

I'm a huge Arlovski fan, but his chin is shitty. Most guys won't be able to land clean on him, or will get knocked out before they get a chance too, so it doesn't matter that much.

How can you use his fight against Rizzo as an example for a weak chin? Rizzo gave him to clean shots to the NOSE and broke it.
