Am I the only one not sold on Houston Alexander?

He has been vicious in his two fights. that being said, I'm not sold on the guy. His stand up technique and footwork are atrocious. He keeps his hands low and looks to be very stiff and awkward in the stand up, his clinch while effective was sloppy and his ground game is a mystery. A W is a W, but anything can happen when you stand there and bang.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, you lose all technical advantage when you turn an mma fight into a street brawl. Imo Houston has benefited from his fights turning into slugfests.

But yet he mauls people and keeps them reeling long enough to KO them. Reminds me of the old Vitor - relentless.

He's still young in the UFC, give it time. There may be more to this guy than a ferocious stand up game.

You put him against a precision striker that knows how to check down a leg kick, and then I might be interested. But not one second earlier.

I view him as a modern day tank abbott until I see some ground game from him

Houston hasn't thrown a single leg kick in his UFC career.

He's untested, and though he's nothing like Tank physically, the current phenomenon he represents reminds of Tank.

In the early UFCs, Tank seemed so unstoppable. His flurries were just relentless and anyone that stood up to them wound up taking a nap or barely surviving.

HA is like that now. But his chin and cardio are totally untested. Let's see him get dominated on the ground in the first round and then come back and win. Let's see him get floored by a vicious left hook and then survive in guard. I like him, and he's been awesome so far, but yes, I need at least 2 more solid fights to be sold on him as a contender.

Put him against a top 10 and see how he does, then we can decide if we should dangle from his nut hairs.

I'll tell you what. Im more sold on Houston than Forrest.
Forrest will never be champ because he lacks KO power and his chin is questionable.

He already walked through a top 10 guy in Sardine.
