I agree with your post 100%. Although I don't see too many people disrespecting BJ.

Thank you

I'd been wondering what was with all the Penn nutthuggers and now I understand. I had looked at his record but didn't really understand the magnitude of it all. Thank you for the information.

Is BJ overrated ? Hell no. Has BJ reached his full potential ? Hell no. Granted, as the TS stated - he was great in the beginning of his career, but the fact is that he is 1 - 3 in his last 4 fights
( spanning over 2 years ) , and there are questions about his conditioning. One thing I always notice in threads about BJ is the word "IF" - IF he would have done this or IF he would have done that. "IF" doesn't get the job done.

BJ PENN's work ethics cause him serious health problems. Between bouts he fights under another name. He goes by the alias MARK HUNT. Yes Mark Hunt and BJ Penn are the same person. That tattoo on Hunt's arm is drawn on with a sharpie. The 2 are never seen at the same place. Punching either one in the head results in no damage.

That about covers it. Just watching him dominate Hughes those first two rounds the second time they fought should be added to the list.

Thanks for the post. We need more educated and rational topic starters like you. BJ is definitely on my list of favorite fighters, and one of the pound-for-pound best of all time without a doubt.
