It doesn't matter how much weight someone gives up, if they lose, they lose. You can't move someone up a rank because they "hung in there". If Faber fought Fedor and went to a decision would that make him the #1 pound for pound fighter?
wow You are grossly misinformed about the definition of pound for pound. You have no idea what it means and you are trying to argue it. Come on man.

So what does P4P mean then.
Boxing is Not MMA. I don't watch that shit, If you can't argue in the context of the discussion then don't argue.
Everyone has lost. By your definition only undefeated fighters can make a P4P list. I was specifically arguing to all the people who rank GSP higher than BJ in P4P rankings. GSP also lost to a unranked fighter in his own weight class. If you can't see that BJ has better and bigger accomplishments than that, then I am done wasting my time on you.
If Faber went the distance with Fedor, that would make him #1 p4p . yes, it would.

Even when BJ loses.. There is that mass feeling, "Damn... BJ could have won that"
btw, Hughes > Penn

lol, so true. Don't worry, I'm sure we'll see BJ beat up on Hughes in a rubber match

wow. Just wow. My god. Seriously now. My jaw is on the floor. I didn't even realize you were a troll until right now. Dammit I'm good at spotting them too. You caught me hook line and sinker. Damn I feel really stupid for not picking up on it earlier. You got me man, you got me good. I give you your credit. You're a lot more sly with it than Donny.

I saw him lose fights he should have won. That's why he isn't top five pound for pound anymore to me.

I don't think people underestimate BJ's skill, just his heart. He doesn't have the discipline anymore to really push himself, if he ever did. I can't remember him ever looking good past the second rd. Pulver, Serra, Hughes, GSP, probably Uno but I've never seen that fight, all started to take over by the third.
People who say that BJ Penn is top five at welterweight forget that part of this sport is cardio, and BJ simply hasn't had it. Who cares how good you are for the first and second rd. if you can't finish the fight by then?

I have never read anybody disrespecting BJ or saying he is overated, if anything BJ is one of the most respected fighters on Sherdog, if you want to make a post praising BJ then thats fine but just say it, don't come with a cheap excuse

Any time a fighter steps up a weight class, out of an organization or puts up his own money to get a fight, they are official bad asses. BJ is no exception. I just like to watch him fight. Always exciting and always shows me something new.
