Ya this is a really good post. The only thing I dont understand is why do people hang off of Machida's bag so badly. He's worshipped for beating Franklin who at the time was like a newborn in the sport and other than that he hasnt beaten 1 big name.

If people want to be optimistic about him fine but the otherwordly praise he gets is retarted.

Firstly Franklin wasn't a neborn by any stretch of the imagination. In fact he was thought of as the rising star of the UFC LHW division. His loss to Machida was a huge shock. You say Franklin was in-experienced at the time, yet Machida had only 2 previous fights, Franklin had over 13 fights.

At the time of the fight Franklin had beaten

Fulton
Eastman
Rea
Tanner
Dewees

These were good wins, and Franklin was vastly more experienced and highly regarded than Lyoto.

You say Machida has only beaten one name opponent? Another silly statement.
