You BJ haters are ridiculous to the fullest extent. Let me explain to you guys clearly in what I mean.
Before the fight, Stevenson was considered the top LW contender and one of the best fighters in the world. There were a lot of threads like "I pray that BJ loses," "BJ is 3 for 5 in his fights, he will lose to Daddy," "Joe Daddy will beat BJ I guarantee it," etc etc. Hmm...I'm sure these idiots were confident enough to bet their money against BJ, so right after BJ stomped Joe, in a twist of anger and boiling blood pressure, these same idiots had to come back and diss Joe. These idiots were saying shit like Joe sucked, Joe wasn't even in BJ's league so it doesn't count, BJ's cardio is still a suspect, Joe Stevenson is so whack that he dropped in weight, Joe Stevenson was never a top contender, (anything they could say to discredit BJ's win and down play on BJ's ability.) After reading these embarassing/moronic posts, I literally LMAO, just to see these cry babies crying over Joe's lost and what made it even better was that some of these idiots lost money in the process.
Heres a fact for you delusional idiots, Penn tore through the LW division, he will tear through it again. Saying one of the best/most gifted fighters was never a dominant force is just wrong and points oneself to be a BJ hater. He's 8-1-1 in his fights, avenging the only lost he had in the LW division which was Pulver..
Speaking of Pulver...I love how people were treading on him too after getting whooped by BJ. But what happened to Pulver after the fight was totally different than Joe's loss to BJ. Jens took some of the hardest criticism and bandwagon jumping/shit talking ever on Sherdog. These hypocrites who said Pulver would knock BJ out or that he would outwork BJ because he had more heart and cardio made a complete 180 degree turn after Pulver lost, and started bagging on him like they never even said he had a chance to win before. Well guess what happened, he went to the WEC and choked out an undefeated Cub Swanson....this didnt really play out to what "once were Pulver's fan" claim about Jens, a washed up fighter. Talking about his fight with BJ, yea he was leagues below BJ, but he was still a dangerous fight for BJ and could have knocked him out. However it didnt go that way and the win for BJ wasn't the win BJ could have but to him it was a huge personal victory which put his mind set at a place where it is today.
Now...In closing thoughts, there is no point in explaining BJ's skills and accomplishments if you juust want to see his record on paper. If you did not actually see BJ Penn's fights, your hating posts mean as much as a crackhead's life lessons. And if you did watch the fights, then you are just an idiot and a hater of Penn. The reason why people like and praise BJ so much is because he has a rare talent most other fighters don't have. But if you just want analyze his record and every loss in his career than you will probably never understand this.

Damn boy, all the scope in the world might not get the smell of BJ's nuts off your breath.

Yeah because all average fighters have UFC belts in two weight classes...
if you had any experience in mma besides talking about it on the internet and watching it on t.v. you'd know there aren't any average fighters in the UFC these days.

The cut forced Joe to rush things. Granted BJ cut him fair and square, the problem is that BJ needs to beat the demons of his cardio. And don't for a sec think that his cardio was way better than it ever has been. It didn't go 2 full rounds and he was still gassed after the fight. He was still out of breath when he got back to the locker room. BJ will never get all the credit he deserves(he is a great fighter no doubt) untill he gets passed this. Sherk should be a great test for him. Do yourself and BJ a favor and praise sherk for being a great fighter. He is the most active fighter at 155. If you bash him you are discrediting BJ if he wins. If he can hang with sherk for 5 rounds win or lose(without being beat to a pulp due to exhaustion) then he has fixed his cardio problem.
Basicly don't start the excuse threads by crying steroids and lnp. BJ will be fighting sherk and there is a huge chance he will lose this one. And there is a huge chance he will win.
BTW the main reason BJ gets hated on is people like you. Instead of starting so many BJ IS THE GREATEST threads and EVERYONE BUT BJ SUCKS, just keep posting in an old one. Starting 20 f'n threads about bj is retarded. The fact that you try to force everyone into worshiping BJ like you do is the problem. The fact is a lot of people don't like him. He has flaws and he lost the fights on his record. He was not robbed or it was a fluke injury. BJ is just a fighter like everyone else who steps into the octagon. He wins and loses just like everyone else. He is not perfect and he has a lot of room to improve.
|
1st, BJ actually didn't look gassed. Sure, him and Joe were both grappling and Joe was making BJ work, but Joe was more gassed than BJ. BJ was pacing himself, never allowing himself to lose composure. Did you not watch the fight? BJ looked like he was slow, but kept hitting Joe with punches and Joe was going into hyper mode or whatever and hardly landed anything. If you don't pace yourself, then no matter the shape you're in, you're going to build up lactic acid and your body will stop moving the way you want it to.
2nd, I can only assume that winning a championship belt would make one so excited and overwhelmed that they're just basking in the moment instead of having to worry about pacing one's self.

BJ Penn Is Completely Overrated
Come on people, open your eyes. First BJ is the #1 lightweight in the world, now he is going to beat Anderson Silva. What makes this guy #1. His record? No, who he's beat? No. So how is he #1. I highly doubt that he'll beat Sherk. But if he does, he thinks he's gonna go up and destroy GSP. You guys are trying to tell me that GSP hasn't improved at all since their last fight? And GSP still won that fight fair and square. Everyone needs to hop off this guys nuts. There is no proof or evidence showing that this overrated powder puff deserves the title of the "Almighty One". He sure hasn't earned it.

He's overrated by stupid nuthuggers but that doesn't mean that he's not P4P one of the best..
He's earned plenty though, being the one of only 2 fighters to hold 2 diff. belts in the UFC..The fact that people are even thinking he could beat Anderson is saying something about how good he is..
