So being a Penn fan means that I'm over the top? I believe, I've never said he won against GSP, Hughes or Lyoto, like some of his nuthuggers claim. Each fan is different, its the same with all fans of different fighters. For example VERA. Some of his fans think he's still the new best thing for the UFC HW and other believe if he moved down he would have a better shot. Unfortunately I think he's all hype, and hasnt proved much besides looking great against cans. .
Anyways back to responding to your post, I'm just calling it the way it is man, and reminding the idiots who doubted Penn in the first place that they're 0-2 right now against the new motivated BJ. I bet a lot people here took Dana's quote on how a motivated BJ is a scary BJ with a pinch of salt.

Actually, i used to hate him because he obviously has the most talent ever, but chose to waste it and be a flabby gasser.
He's also fairly rude and arrogant.
Now he's training hard, making exciting fights and backing up his shit-talk i have become a fan.
If those things change I'll jump ship

Ehh its all strange to me. Both Jens and Joe impressed the hell out of me with their guts. They lost nothing but a little mark in the loss column.

I like him because he is a extremely talented and unique fighter.
But his personality is dreadful, the way he presented himself and treated others on TUF really made me dislike him as a person.

BJ is without a doubt the most talented fighter ever to fight at LW.
He has a lot of personal demons (lack of motivation, ego, delusions of grandeur) to exorcise, but his talent and excitement, coupled with his epic accomplishments make him one of the most unique and like-able figures in MMA.
Agreed though, he can be a dick sometimes. But stop being pussies, guys. Since when was being a little bit of a dick a bad thing (Han Solo/Angel Eyes from,TGTBTU/Batman/Wolverine)?

Bj Penn is such an asshole , after he defeats Jens Pulver he offers to train him personally , Someone needs to put a stop to his cockyness and bad attitude.
*cough* sarcasm *cough*
really though if the bj haters would look closer they would see what a decent and down to earth guy he is. If he has a problem with someone hes gonna say it like it is , but when everything is done and said for Bj in the end always puts the feud behind him. I truely believe that pulver defeated Cub Swanson because of the work that Bj has been doing with him.

There's no doubt in my mind at all that a focused BJ is close to unbeatable. I agree with you on that. My way of thinking is though, if something or someone is being completely over exposed to you and all you ever hear is how it's/they're the best ever, you kind of want something to happen so you don't have to hear about it/them as much anymore. Of course, you have every right to be a BJ fan and be proud of what he's achieved. I, myself just want to see something else on the forums besides threads about BJ licking blood and people wanting to see GIF's of Joe crying. Hopefully we can both agree to that.
