Aleks Emelianenko's future

Is he just an overhyped B-level fighter or does he have unlimited potential to one day become a top 5 HW fighter. I do believe there was too much expected of him becaue of his last name with disregard for his age and his lack of MMA training and experience considering his life in jail from the age 15-20. He is likable as a fighter, being so mysterious with those awesome tatoos, laid back attitude and amazing boxing technique, is this as good as he's going to get or is he serious about working on his weak points and become a serious force in the HW division. With his brother Fedor owning the Pride HW division, will it be a good idea for him to go to another organization like the UFC and make a name for himself?

What do you think the future holds for Aleks?

He isnt B Level. He just isnt as good as his brother and to alot that means he is some kind of huge failiure. His losses are to very good oponents.

If you were Aleks, and your older bro was the Cyborg that he is, you could be totally dominant, but would always be looked down upon for not out-doing Fedor.

Its gonna be rough for him down the line, always being compared to Fedor. And it will be harder for him on these forums, considering 80% of the posters are incapable of looking at things with an open mind. Considering the bashing he gets from Pride lovers on here, you'd swear he was a UFC fighter.

I see Aleksander being pretty freakin dangerous once he has better cardio. He was man handling Josh Barnett up until the point he completely ran out of gas. His only other loss has been to cro cop and that doesn't make you a B level fighter. The guy is only 24 years old, give him a few years, some experience, with his speed and power he's gonna be a bad mamma jamma.

Aleks is a pimp. He lost to CroCop and JB, no shame in that cause they are elite fighters.

so do you think it will be a good move for Aleks to actually become a UFC fighter? Who wouldn't love to see Aleks fight Arlovski and Tim Sylvia? that would really liven up the HW division of UFC and Aleks will get a whole lot more respect as a UFC champion.

I think he has potential.. He just needs a few years. Lossing to Cro Cop and Josh or not "bad" wins.. I would like to see him go up against Randleman and coleman, a few "big names" that are not top 5.

Alex would be a legit contender if he jumped ship to the UFC, but could he get a visa with his criminal record?
