Put him vs some ppl in UFC first and then see how he does. put him in there vs okami or marquardt and see how he does.

And who do you see taking home the MW belt on April 18th?
ignorant ufc nuthuggers.

mousasi->marqardt
mousasi->maia
mousasi->okami

Okami is the number one contender. 7-1 in the UFC with wins over Tanner, Lister, MacDonald, Belcher, Swick, Singer and Kalib. Only losing to Franklin, Yushin is the rightful number one contender.

Mousasi is the number one contender by a landslide if we're including fighters outside the UFC.

I actually think Silva retiring soon will be very good for the UFC middleweight division. Right now, Silva is the king and the UFC is just pulling at straws trying to raise up contenders to fight him all the while being careful not to have guys who have already been beaten by Silva beat the contenders the UFC is raising. What this means is, instead of seeing badass fights like they are having at LHW or WW right now between top 10 fighters, for the most part, you are seeing top 10 guys fight tough but lower-ranked opponents, or move up weight (see Henderson, Franklin, Marquardt) while guys they would kill or have beaten (Leites, Okami, Bisping) are getting groomed for title shots.
With Silva gone you will see a picture more like that of the current LHW division, with top guys constantly fighting other top guys.

I don't think Mousasi would beat A. Silva, Franklin, Henderson, Marquardt, or Maia, btw.

Mousasi has never beaten a top ten opponent in his life, he hasnt even fought a top ten opponent unless you had gono in there when he beat Mousasi.

I watched his last two fights vs Melvin and Jacare. Mousasi was very impressive, but both of the guys he beat have limited skills and lack well rounded games. Hats off to him for doing a great job of exploiting their respective weaknesses. But how does he exploit those weaknesses against someone like Nate or Okami who are just as or more well rounded than he is? Let alone more experienced against top competition.
