i think maia should really work on better takedowns and standup instead of relying on pulling guard and using reversals if he wants to be successful against a beast like the spider. dont get me wrong though, im a big maia fan but i just dont think hes ready yet.

Okami already got killed by Silva... even though silva got DQ'ed, he was dominating the whole fight, and knocked out okami as well.
the only real contender is maia, and bisping should get to fight silva just so he gets knocked out cold and i never have to see him again.

The problem with Kang is he's inconsistent and his chin isn't that great. If Kang fought Anderson Silva, it'd be a lopsided mugging.

ya forgot about him. i sure hope so. but for all the promise he showed 2 years ago, he ended up losing a lot, pretty much all, of his important fights. of course....yes...."everyone loses fights", and he was hurt for Misaki. but still, every top 5 (5? 10? don't argue ranking semantics with me please) fighter he fights, he loses to.
still, i hope he proves himself and gets the title fight soon!!!

my guess is they want Silva to fight as many different guys as they can with as impressive a background as possible. In Lietes hes fighting a bjj guy who would have a ground advantage and has won like 5 straight fights.
The reason its questionable to us is that other than Nate he hasn't fought any thats really any good.
Okami obviously is the most impressive guy at the weight class but his wins are mostly boring 3 rd affairs. I think likely if kang wins you will get Okami vs Kang for a title shot.
I dont know why but i think Kang could get Koed by belcher. So in that case it might end up being the winner of Gouviea vs marquardt that fights okami for a title shot. Dont count out Gouviea in either of those fights though.

Hopefully they'll put another title fight on the card to make it more interesting, that fight alone is sadly, not worth the ppv buy.
