Why can't we see who's viewing each thread anymore?

Before it used to show how many people are viewing a certain thread at the bottom and now it doesn't.. how come? I remember all Kimbo and Lesnar threads used to get the most views.. i like that concept.

Is the feature ever coming back? I think I saw a mod's post saying it would be once they beefed up the servers. This was back during the last format change.
