Sherdog's "don't ask don't tell" hidden policy on race?
I'm not going to talk about this anymore or push this any further, but I feel like I have to let everyone know.
A moderator sent me a PM telling me to stop with my "lame attemps" at "race-baiting" and that I should go somewhere else. I won't post the whole PM here because I don't want to break the "revealing of a PM" rule. All that because of this thread:
Should the UFC hire Rev. Jesse Jackson? (Intelligent post, please read)
He wastelanded the thread shortly after.
Now, feel free to read it and tell me if I crossed the line. I thought that I had a good point even though some sherdoggers didn't agree with it (didn't expect everyone to agree with me).
Anyways, I feel like I'm targeted now so I removed the AV that I had (which was a well-known black man) in fear of getting banned for "race-baiting" or something along those lines.
The message that I got from this is "you can be black but we better never hear about it". Very similar to the "don't ask don't tell" policy in the army.
I rarely talk about races at all. Out of my 1000+ posts here, only a very few (less than 5?) are race-related and I had no bad intention.
Anyways, I'll move on and never talk about something that could be related to the black race ever again.

A few of your thread titles, of the 242 threads you have made - "Did Rogan say Franca was a gorilla?" - "Video of Fedor calling Randleman the N word?" - "Should the UFC hire Rev. Jesse Jackson? (Intelligent post, please read)" - "Extremely Racist Microsoft Ads In Poland" - "State with the highest % of Rednecks/Hicks/Hillbillies/White trash?".
You say you've made "less than 5?" race-related posts.
Revealing the content of a PM is bannable, you just did that.
Anything else?

i am not going to make any judgments about your case in particular. but i will say that it seems black is considered taboo here because it sparks racial flame wars.
sometimes a post or a thread on it's own can be totally innocent and well-meaning, yet it will get axed because it pertains to an African American. It's not always right, but this isn't my website, so I can't really complain.

Enginekid, closing/deleting threads that contain racism or are ripe for racist replies (most of which is against blacks) is now RACIST AGAINST BLACKS? That is totally backward.
You are really a difficult person. It would save time and aggravation if you could please stop trying to piss everyone off here.

No. I just realized that you are German and you probably don't know what is considered racism and what is not considered racism in the US (no offense). The situation is probably MUCH different in Germany where pretty much everyone is white.
Anyways, I'm done with this, I can't argue with you because you're a mod and I'm not, so we're not on the same level and you could ban me whenever I'm saying something that you don't like/agree with.
You can lock/delete this thread as far as I'm concerned.

I'm American, I just moved here this year. I hate racism and race-baiting and am quite active in trying to keep the forums clear of these things. Most threads that involve race in any way bring out racist comments. This is why most moderators close or delete these threads, often before they turn sour.
I do not ban anyone for merely saying something I don't agree with. If that were the case I would be banning a lot more people than I do.
You don't think you make race related posts ("less than 5?"), but you clearly have made several threads about race, as I showed above. You have made a very high number of threads (242), and several have been deleted/closed because of various problems with them, not just race-baiting threads. It shouldn't come as such a surprise that we don't want to encourage threads that draw out racially-tinged comments. Why would you want to make those threads in the HW's forum, for example?
Try to avoid racial confrontations here, instead of looking for trouble. Jeez, did you REALLY think a thread suggesting the UFC hire Jesse Jackson/Al Sharpton would NOT result in people making racist comments? Read the replies you got; was there ONE that wasn't very negative? Luckily the thread didn't draw out racist comments, one of the rare exceptions and probably not what you wanted.
I'm trying to REDUCE racism here, but you have it turned around and think you're a victim of racism. There is no way to make everyone happy here, it's impossible.

you misinterpreted what i said, hence your aggravation?
i said there are threads that are made concerning blacks that are totally innocent, well-meaning threads, yet they fall to the same axe that dumps the "bad, racist ones".
the well-meaning threads are victims. that is all i said. so please if you have a hard time getting along with my posts, at least try and understand them first.

I'd appreciate it if you'd stop with the "I know what you're trying to do". That's the second or third time you've done that in this case alone. Thanks.

|
Because the main subject was the UFC?
I asked about Rev. Jesse Jackson because the WWE hired Rev. Sharpton the week before and there is this dark cloud over MMA since Arum said it was attracting only "skinheads". That is all. No need to look further than that. That's it.
As for my "very high number of threads", I agree. I like to start new discussions and debates. Most of them aren't reposts, as I read a lot and try to post only original stuff or ideas.
I got yellow carded once because I started a thread in the wrong forum (I believe), and some threads got deleted as well for various reasons.
But overall, I'm not a bad poster and I'm not out there looking for trouble. If I was a troublemaker, I'd not have make it through 200+ threads.
