question for Mods about Marcelo Garcia

on the fight finder it says that Marcelo Garcia 's weight is 154lbs (70 kg) - is that even an mma weight class? - but he fought at the ADCC at 167 lbs. (76 kg).

the lastest sherdog article says, "Intending to fight at 170 pounds, the three-time ADCC champion at 76 kilograms suggested that there isn't any motivation for him to move up or down in weight."

just thought that was something that should be changed (154 to 170). i don't think marcelo could make the cut to 155 - it took a lot for him to get to 167.

Lots of fighters have different weights going around (Sakuraba). The mods don't touch the fightfinder, but I'm sure once he fights again it'll be updated with whatever weightclass he competed at.

I think you got it right. When he fights in an MMA match they'll probably put him at whatever weight he fights at.

That's correct, sorry.

I think maybe the fight finder lists weight, not weight class, which would explain 154. Maybe that is also the weight he fought at most recently, which is why it is listed.

People do go up and down in weight classes. Perhaps it will get updated after his next fight if he comes in at 170.
