I would like to see that function reinstated. I just saw someone mention this in another thread but thought a new thread may get some notice.

Sometimes it can be a pain in the ass to find a mod who is online to report to and the report post function would be helpful. Also have reported to certain mods before and been completely ignored.

Just a thought.

Wasn't that function disabled because supposedly nobody used it?

I'm sure i've read, more than once, from a mod that was the reason it was disabled. That's pretty weak considering that if it wasn't being used then what harm could it have possibly been to leave it enabled. It's not like it was done for appearance issues since the broken link is still visible.

Or there should be a thread where you can report a poster, and then the mods make the decision for themselves.

But them it will be public, and you will get people making a new username just to 'return the favor' to the person that had them banned, by reporting them, in turn.

No idea of the truth to that. I have no definitive answer as to why it was disabled. I think it was hurting the server load perhaps. A few things have been disabled because of that.

ps: Reporting to a mod should get a response, alot of us are on "Invisible" status, so PM a mod and then wait for a response.

I have only seen porn (gay or otherwise) seldomly and it is usually deleted quickly. If the report function were to be reinstated, every other thread would be reported. What are you going to do, report somebody for using profanity or some other minor BS offense? Everybody on here would be running around ratting on each other. Who wants to deal with that? What kind of person goes around "reporting" people over the internet?
