(INFO LINKS.COM) I am seeing in text links with a MAC for the first time **HELP**

arrr what the hell. I have never got this before with a MAC and now its happening...i have firefox 3.6 and adblock plug in but in field text has just started to show up

maybe its a firefox thing

The in-text ads are coming from Kontera.com in all likelihood. Disabling scripts from that site with an addon like NoScript should eliminate them entirely from appearng in FireFox.

The only thing I ask in return for this wisdom is that you stop trolling non-offensive threads like the KTT thread and the Minowaman wagon.

EDIT: I overlooked that you're using a Mac. I'm not sure addons are compatible between Windows and Mac even if you're using FireFox on both, but in any case kontera's likely your culprit.

EDIT 2: NoScript is in fact available for Mac.

installing no script and changing the settings (because it blocks alot of stuff i want by default) has stoped the green links

seems like entering this into adblock got rid of it better than noscript which blocks everything. I got "yesscript" which is like no script but YOU can pick and choose which sites to block unlike noscript where you have to allow everything

NoScript blocks all scripts by default. That said, you can set it to 'allow' scripts if you trust the site in question and don't want to be bothered with NoScript blocking its functionality (say like your email site); and this would be done once. Or, you can use the 'temporarily allow' option which lets scripts from the site in question run until such time that you close your browser.

Personally, I prefer NoScript to AdBlock, but it's all a matter of personal opinion. Reason being you can block scripts from both ad sites as well as ones which track metrics.

Im just happy the green links went away!! I have never had any problems on other sites or with other "click ads"

its all good ...if its gone Im happy!!
