Alright, now you've got me worried as well. I hadn't noticed they didn't have the buckle like the Twins SGL-3.

I normally put them on the inside of the leg.

update:
got XL size Windy's
it's about the same size as the Fairtex Large
The straps finally close all the way around and the bottom strap overhangs lots which I have to fix





the windys stay tight on the shin since they have no extra cushioning

When ordering Windy products you should go up a size as they run small. The Fairtex are made with "western" size standards.
