vulkans are not pre-shrunk.

I have a training partner who has a white Vulkan single weave. He has had it about a year. It is very lightweight, but almost too light for my tastes.

It has not ripped on him yet, but when rolling with him it feels very thin. Some of this may be due to how long he has had it, but it feels almost like a TKD gi.

I've never heard him complain about it, but I believe it is the only gi he has owned so I'm not sure how much he has to compare it to.

From what I've read, I would be more interested in an Atama Ultralight, Sirius Ultralight, Kikskin, or Groundforce.

just for you noob 1.0, maybe you can change your mind, when you see the price... its really cheap for an bjj kimono.

otherwise, would you buy it?

105 euros? No gracias.

You could find a Vulkan from the states that would be cheaper even after shipping than that thing. 105 euros is about $150. Can't say I would pay $150 for a Vulkan single.

Personally they just seem a bit thin to me, but $150 is quite a bit higher than I would expect those to be selling for.

get a pearl Noob 1.0. cheaper than the atama ultralight, and pearls get alot of good reviews.

I'm waiting on mine as we speak. MMAWarehouse.com has them on special right now.

^^ Thanks Foz, I would buy one if I was in the market for an ultralight gi. I think if I were to buy one I would like to try out the Sirius brand.

But as it stands I'm still flip-flopping between an SSF, Fuji, or another HCK. I'm horribly indecisive about these things. If only I had a lot more money than sense and could buy them all.

Foz, why the cross-over into gi? Get a suddent point of inspiration from something?
