Compression shorts (ie// under armor) look like underwear if you wear them by itself. The material is super thin, and seriously it just looks like underwear.

VT shorts (like warrior wear, kimura wear, koral, one's that i've owned) are thicker than compression shorts. They're complete shorts that u can wear to train / compete.

It's comparing oranges to apples.

Compression shorts = wear them under something

VT shorts = wear them on top of something

both. at the same time.
always wear compression shorts. they keep your nuts in place and keep your nut area (quads, hams, etc) from damage. most athletes swear by compression shorts.

but yes. VT shorts go on top.

Haha wasn't sure what was acceptable since one of the trainers at my gym wore compression shorts to class. Come to think of it when we train no-gi he barely wears anything (he wears what looks like vale tudo briefs and kneepads). Thanks for the info!

Creepy....so the sweat that was soaking through his shorts was DIRECTLY from his balls, then onto the face of whomever happened to be getting Triangled by him huh?

That's just not cool by any stretch of the imagination.

Compression shorts AND Vale Tudo or Fight Shorts over top, please.
