Custom mouthguards - outside of North America

Ok so it seems like a pretty general consensus that custom mouthguards are the way to go, especially Protech/Gladiator etc. Problem is, I'm stuck down the bottom of the world in New Zealand. I'm considering getting a custom one from a dentist, but I'm really not sure whether they're tough enough to be used for heavy muay thai, and I want to protect my teeth since they've had a heap of cash spent on them over the last few years.

So basically, what are my options out here, do I have any overseas options that work internationally?

if you do use your dentist, be sure that he is using a Pressure Laminated Machine, rather than a Vacuum Machine, doesn't sound like a big deal, but it is...
