Dynasty1, do you think MMA training in Brazil will start to evolve towards the US custom, which allows (encourages, even) fighters to train with many masters? Many US born MMA fighters will belong to a team, but will travel to cross-train with other trainers/coaches. The fighters benefit from the change of pace, variety of training partners, and the knowledge of other coaches. The fighter will usually not do this during a training camp before a fight, but during the time between fights, and almost always with their team's blessing.

For a long time, Chute Boxe had so many top fighters that cross training was not necessary. But now, top talent has left the camp, striking out on their own. If Chute Boxe is willing to cooperate with the new teams of former Chute Boxe stars (the Ruas, etc.), their students will likely benefit.

rafael cordeiro just did an interview for tatame which is a brasilian magazine, and he basically said the biggest difference between brasil and here is the fact that the americans, for the most part dont really have that obligation to defend the team, like in brasil..the guys are more about paying the gym fee, and thats that

i think the more the sport grows in brasil..the more we will start to see the changes that have occured here and guys will be going all over to get the best training that is offered.

i dont ever see the day when chute boxe would ever cooperate with udl, which is basically all ex chute boxe guys..i agree it would be great, but would never happen
