nilson is one of the first members of chute boxe, has been with the team for a really long time, to be honest im not sure why he was the one chosen, maybe for the shear fact that hes been there since the beginning and is very close with rafa and rudimar

hauer is a part of the city that was kind of on the other side of the city, from where i was living..its the name of a neighborhood, when werdum is in curitiba he lives at the gym in hauer..the gym in hauer was built to basically house foreigners, who came to visit for camps and stuff,..i think for about 1000 dollars a month in the future guys will be able to train there live there, eat there..everything, all included in that price

as far as huntington beach, i dont really know whats going on over there..ill have a better idea in a couple of weeks, im planning to leave on the 8th to go live there

just a quick question as far as the bjj, how large of a gap would you say, from your experience, is the skill level from say a blue belt in the US to the blue belts in brasil. do people in brasil like/dislike american jiujitsu fighters more or less?
thanks for your kind words...as far as the level of jiu jitsu, i think as far as pure jiu jitsu with a gi, brasil is ahead..i never really trained with a gi, but as far as that goes, guys are a lil bit better

in my experience i never felt like someone disliked me, i was in a great environment with an oen mind , no ego, and i think as long as you have that mentality in whatever you do, wherever you do it, for the most part people will be open to you. of course guys will joke with you sometimes, and maybe want to test you, but i never felt any hostility

i dont know if you guys have seen on any other sites, but Daniel ACacio has left Chute Boxe and gone To UDL, which is ninja shogun and didas new team, and im not to sure after acacio leaving how much longer Luiz Azeredo is going to stay...

Wanderlei was at the opening of UDL, and his new gym in vegas and udl are going to kind of have an exchange program going on, so it basically going to be almost like one team..

i think before wanderlei left, none of these guys really had the courage to leave, mayb there were problems going on, that until he left noone had the courage to leave..so with acacio leaving we are seeing more of that now, and like i said well see how much longer azeredo will stay

It seems like what is happening with CB is the same thing that happened to Team Quest a few years ago. Evan Tanner left, Leben left, Randy left, Quarry left.

So you will be in HB in a couple weeks. It should be nice down there, it is smokey as hell from all the fires up here.

Why do you think chute boxe fighters leave DYN? problems with the coaches/ training, or are they just spreading there wings and making a name for themselves instead, through there own gyms which become a major source of there income

How old are you Stu? What is your monthly budget looking like? Since you got a place to stay for $370 it really cuts down on your expenses. Man, if only the dollar wasnt so weak these days, makes me cry when i see you only got to pay 188pounds a month hah.

to be honest there are different reasons,..every fighter from the gym has to give 30 percent of their purse to the gym, breaks down to be 10 percent for management, 10, for your trainers, and 10 goes back into the gym. with a guy like wanderlei the more i think about it, he had become so big, that to not leave and start your own thing would kind of be silly..im sure thats the eventual dream of alot of guys, like minotauro now..

dida left because he was in the grand prix, and only thought he should have to pay the 30 percent for one fight, and not every fight, so i believe there was some confusion about that,

guys like acacio to be honest would leave because they are not getting a lot of fights, they have families to support and are not active as they probably should be..again this is my opinion, in an interview that he just did, he left because he said he wanted a change of enivorment but again, i cant believe thats really the reason

as far as azeredo he has said today that he has no plans on leaving, as i speculated yesterday, so thats good news..

i think the bigger you get the more natural it is for you to be more independent and business minded, so basically thats the direction the sport s going now..youll see this in a lot of teams more and more in the coming future

Stu- Quando tiver na praia, cheia das cariocas safadas, vai saber q ta no Brasil meu irmao, hahaha

I will be turning 23 august 3rd--so will be celebrating my b'day in my first week there....

Actually my room arrangements changed, so i will be spending about £160 ($320-/ R$500) a month. Im not sure how much training fees are yet....but the guy said i could pay monthly.....the gym is like 5-10 mins walking distance... so won't be spending money traveling......and fresh food is cheap in Brasil too. I have more than enough money to be there 4months

here is a video of the gym

YouTube - Minotouro apresenta CT

Thanks Dyn for all your help!!
