dont think i havnt thought about it..i have..but im so happy with everyone around me..my place in Chute Boxe, people like me, i get along with everyone..the training is no different..
why move cuz the big names moved..they were nobodies before they came here and chute boxe made them what they have become..that wont change
i was thinking about this alot..stay where the champions were made, or go to where the champs are..to me its an easy choice

not much going on,just hanging on with my girlfriend almost every waking moment that im not training..my shorts and gloves that i oredered from rdfc.tv arrived in new yok yesterday, so im having ym mom ship that to me along with more shorts that i had left at home, and some sun chips, haha loves those things
i think im going to be taking this whole week off from training after today, b/c my trainer is going to rio along with one of my freinds who will be fighting in rio fc on the 28th, so it will be a good time for me to take some time off and just relax, and hopefully a couple of the lil nagging injuries i have will get a lil better
thats basically it...oh and yeah in march..i think on the 21st i dont know the exact date but we will have 2 of our fighters fighting in elitexc
marlon mathias who has some crazy muay thai, and cris cyborg will be making her american debut..for those of you who dont know shes cyborgs wife and shes a beast..so look for her to completly destroy whoever shes fighting..i dont know who their opponents are

Being a teacher, and about to get married, I am not at a point in my life where I can travel somewhere like you have. But, prior to having children, it's a goal of mine.
Being a teacher does afford me many different advantages such as being able to travel during the summer and during breaks. I believe that one such break would be a perfect time for me to travel somewhere such as Brazil. I was wondering how difficult it is to travel there for only a week or two and if big gym like Chute Boxe is okay with americans coming to train for short amounts of time like that.
I know you've covered costs and such prior to this and I apologize if you've already answered this question as well.
And another question (since you asked).. how do your parents feel about all this? How long until they didn't think that it was absolutely ridiculous to travel to and train in brazil?

hey bro, whats up?..to answer your first question it would be pretty simple for you to come and spend one or 2 weeks here..there have been since ive been here probably 4 or 5 guys who have passed through who have stayed for a week at the most 2, and they were always welcomed..as far as how much it costs to train for a week, i have no idea
theres a radisson right across the street from the gym too..but i dont know how much it would be to stay there either..but there are a varity of hotels within like a 10 15 min walking distance of the gym
my mom was never really into the idea..my dad loving mma just as much as me was all for it..this was an ongoing dream that i had had in my head for about 5 years..it wasnt always brasil..i remember my first idea was to go to hawaii and train with bj..and then that idea slowly but surely made me realize if i want to be a fighter why not go to brasil..it would be an opportunity to learn another language..train with the best there was..at the time, and meet beautiful girls..
i had a job but no real good source of income, and i knew for a fact if my parents went along with it, then could send me without worrying about money, where as if i did it on my own i would probably have to work for a year just to be here for 3 to 6 months...
my mom eventually got tired of me being depressed about it..and talking about it everyday..b/c that literally is the only thing i would talk about..at first it was a joke to her, but as time went on, she realized i was more serious about this than anything else in ym life..she gave in one day, and came into my room and said listen, if you want to go, you can go, but you have to do everything, get your passport, research it, set yourself up..and thats what i did...and thank god here i am today..
up until this day i can pretty much assure you my mom would rather me not chosen a career of being punched in the face, but she supports me..she always told me she just wants me to be happy in whateve i do..i talk to her pretty much everyday cuz we have nextels, and sometimes ill tease her that im all beaten up and bruised and she gets mad at me, haha..one time i even told her i broke my arm and was in the hospital, and when i told her i was joking she was pretty pissed, haha

Awsome log man, enjoy your time there.
Do you know if there are any MMA schools in Florionopolis? I think there is a Gracie Barra there, but not sure if it is just BJJ or not. I would like to go to Brazil someday and Florionopolis sounded awsome but didnt know of any camps located there. I just wish Curitiba was on the beach like Rio, then id have the best of both worlds.
Housing prices in Florionopolis were much cheaper than i expected. Seemed like you could buy a awsome condo right by the beach for a couple hundered grand.
