listen giuys as much as its great here, i miss home alot

the weirdest thing is how it seems this country is unfinished, i always tell my friends here i love the people, more then americans, but i think all these people are in the wrong country..the other night we were dropping my friend off at her apt, here in curitiba, and her place is nice, but everything around her roads, things like this just look unfinished, and when i say unfinished i mean roads not finished, and alot of things, it just looks like some things are done really half assed, and people dont care so much..i know many of the people care..but all the time all my friends tell me how the government here sucks, they pay taxes on everything here..every house has a big fence around it, with barbwire, or a dog, something..

for example the other night i was at a club, and while we were pulling in there were people knocking on the window asking for money, its so sad..u know..and u feel bad cuz if u give it to them, u know your not helping them, cuz theyll be back tomorrow and do the same thing forever

i was also talking to a kid who trains at chuteboxe and he told me about a time a kid knocked on his door, asking for money, he said wait here..brought the kid back food..apples fruit, u know things like that..and the kid said i didnt ask for food, and threw it on the ground..u know..i dunno

sorry for getting all political..just neeeded to vent a lil

for carnavla i think im going to camboriu with a guy from chuteboxe named michael costa, im not sure yet, but he asked me today..he has a friend who lives there..and fatboy slim will be there plaqying at one of the clubs so that would probably be a good time

i will always say if the people of brasil switched countries with us..america would probaly be the greatest country in the world

so how is the level of skill at the academy?

its definetly the best in the world in my opinion, they have guys at every skill level right now..im not the greatest, but everyone says im picking things up fast, i pretty much train with everyone, b/c we basically spar all day, and switch partners every 5 mins, so it forces u to learn fast

Dynasty, I have followed your thread on sherdog, and am very interested in coming to Brasil to train. I am currently in Iraq but I will be leaving for two weeks in either June or July and thought what better place to spend those 15 days than at chute boxe. Is it possible that you can tell me the process you took to get membership at the school? Did you just show up on the door step or did you call in advance so they knew you were coming? I will most likely be staying at the Bourbon resort but I have no clue how far that is away from the school. My focus is to get as much training as possible in that time frame. I will be leaving Iraq in Septemeber, and once I leave I will have another 30 days that I can come back and devote to training. Please send me any informatin you can on getting me in the school. I already have my passport and I am sure I will need a Visa, but any information you can help me with will be great. Also if you the bourbon is far away could you recommend any nice resorts? Any assistance with this issue will be greatly appreciated.
