I have kind of an odd question however. I'm asian and was wondering if there was any weird cultural/racial concerns I should have if I was to live there. I've heard there is a large Japanese + Korean population there, but are they fully integrated or do they keep to themselves? Basically are they perceived as different? It would be awesome if the girls over there had a little yellow fever
And good luck with the girl situation man. Hope everything turns out well.

ok..well your question is a good one..be prepared for everyone to call you japa...and when they say that its nothing racist, but thats just how most japanese people are called here..just like me..everyone knows my name, but everyone calls me gringo..only my really good friends call me by my name..and you should expect the same..but just dont take offense to it..it doesnt matter if your korean , chinese, japanese, they will probably call u japa..
curitiba has a very large japanese population, the park where the gym is located is actually located in praca do japao, which is like japanese square...there is even a huge business building near the park that has the japanese flag at the top..you will see the asian culture is big here
if i were you, if you dont have already, something i recommend for everyone who wants to come here, is to make an orkut..its like myspace, and almost everyone here has one..i met alot of people that way and got some really useful info and made alot of friends
hope i answered your question
oh and before i forget the girl that i was hooking up with, almost all her boyfriends were asian, and shes super cute, so i guess she had some of that yellow fever you were talking about...
my advice brother is speak english with girls to break the ice...almost always works, haha
i dont do it anymore, but i used to do it alot..now that i know portuguese i say 3 words, they see i have an accent, and ask me where i am from..thats another good way
haha come down bro, have some fun, and train hard
