I got a shirt from them and it isn't the highest of quality which is probably why they are going out of business. Their gear always seemed a little suspect to me

One of the throwdown shirts I got is tagless, it has the Throwdown tag screenprinted in the back. You can see where a normal tag was cut out of the shirt. I thought it was funny.

My Throwdown mexican wraps are crap. There's a few what look to be cuts on edges in some places that I believe will keep tearing until they fall apart someday. Also there's some snags in the threads that will keep unraveling until they fall apart...and they're really lightweight, less than half the thickness of my Combat Sports wraps. They were shrinkwrapped when I got them in the mail so it has to be Throwdown's fault that they're in such shoddy condition and not the people that work in Title Boxing's warehouse.

This probably means that the design was for a small run of shirts. Most t-shirt distributors will remove tags and either print or sew in private labels on large orders straight from the factory so the print shop doesn't have to cut them out and leave pieces of the original tag. I would think that Throwdown could easily make the minimums for factory relabeling, but I guess not.

I just got two pairs of Throwdown gloves in the mail today. They look nice, one is just like the Primetime gloves and the other is like the CSI training gloves (looks like the mittens on South Park). I'll let you guys know how they hold up at the Academy.

Throwdown isn't going out of business anytime soon. They are however teaming up with another company which I can't disclose and I'll let the owner "K" do that portion. The only reason I know what is going on is because I deal with Throwdown and they sell my mouth guards out of their gym in Vegas and I was also thinking about opening my own gym. I just thought I would let everyone know what was going on from the inside scoop and to satisfy everyone's curiosity as well as settle some possible nerves. They are good to go.
