Nice setup Freddy B...

You can take a shit in the middle of the workout if you ever have the need.

They sell anchor setups at title, ringside, etc. but I'd be concerned w/ the small amount of clearance.

Do you have the chain/swivel as short as you can get it? Could you cut off a few links of the chain or anything?

If you can't get anymore room, and you are willing to screw into your concrete floor, I'd buy a cheap bracket/anchor, screw it directly beneath the bag and attach a length of bungee cord or something similar, to at least control how far the bag will swing out. I'm sure with some adjusting of how much cord you use, you can get some decent results.

As for how firm the bag is - Assuming you don't want to change what's in the bag or anything, I've seen people suggest hitting the bag w/ a bat to loosen it up, or flip it around/lay it on the floor, and really just toss it around to get the stuffing shaken up.

Thanks for the tips Nate. I hadn't seen those weighted anchors that you mentioned until checking title's website. I shouldn't have a problem with clearance if I take a few more links out of the chain. I can probably take it up a few more inches, enough to clear the 4" height of the anchor.

I'll try breaking in the bag with a baseball bat, and roll it around. Sounds like a good idea.

Here's another picture of my home gym setup, including the busted up Everlast canvas bag stuffing all over the floor...

I've got the same issue with the bag being only a couple inches off the ground. At first I was wanting to figure out how to raise the bag and get a weighted anchor but now I think i'll just drive some anchors into the concrete and do it that way.

Then when i sell the house i can just grind the anchors off flush with the floor.

It's definately annoying kicking the thing and then waiting for it to swing back.

apbt549, the bag was $100 + extra shipping (around $35 I think.) From the comments of the other users above, it sounded like they weren't willing to offer that same price. I guess I was just luck and called at the right time when the stock for the bag I originally planned on buying was low.

The bag took about a week to show up at my door after placing the order.

I've got a Fairtex banana bag and got tired of waiting for it to swing back to hit again so I ordered an uppercut donut and placed it at the bottom of the bag. My thai bag hangs with just a few inches from the floor so you just kind of set the bag in the uppercut donut and the bag doesn't hardly move at all (at least not as much as it did before). Here is a link to my uppercut donut I got. http://www.revgear.com/catalog/produ...8493f216a5b4a8

Anyone know how these bags compare to the Revgear, Ringside and all the other synthetic leather bags?
