Thai Bags With Rope

I have seen some clubs have thai bags with a huge rope tied around the top hanging down what is the purpose of that ? thanks

if it's just hanging down it's there to act like someone punching back at you....so when you hit the bag it moves towards you.

if it's wraped around the bag it's there for you to uppercut.

I've seem ropes used to help simulate the clinch as well.
