Combat Sports Tear Drop Bag-Combatsports.com
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I used to have this Teardrop bag from Combat Sports. I used it for about a year and then one of the nylon straps was getting ready to break and I thought the bag was too light so I gave the bag to a friend. The bag worked great for clinch work. It was the perfect size and a good price. The down fall of the bag was obviously the nylon straps that were breaking (it seems like CSI's brand name stuff is a little cheap) and the bag was only 60 lbs. For clinching it may not need to be any heavier but if you throw punches and kicks, the bag swings around like crazy.
Tear Drop Bags - KO Fightgear

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^
I bought this Teardrop bag from KO Fightgear awhile back and it's great quality. The color is nice, although still nylon straps they seem to be made better, the leather/ sythetic leather is nice, the bag is quite a bit heavier (100 lbs.), and the price is good especially when compared with a brand like Fairtex. Ko Fightgear has once again made a good product and Neil was very good to deal with over the phone. The only down fall I will say about this bag is it's a little bigger around making it harder to clinch. I liked the size of the CSI bag better in that aspect as far as the bag being skinnier at the top simulating someone's neck and making it easier for you to get your arms around. I would actually like to sell this bag and get the Windy teadrop bag from CSI. It's more expensive but 1. it has chains instead of nylon straps 2. a little smaller in size making it easier and better to clinch . I think it's the same size as the CSI brand teadrop bag.
Good luck with whatever you choose and hopefully this review was helpful.

I also own the CSI bag, and I LOVE it - I hung mine up from my heavy bag stand about a year ago, and it hasn't come down since. I've been campaigning for my own gym to add one to the rafters in our standup room.
I might not be a good judge on the issue of whether or not the weight of 60# is adequate or inadequate - I'm a short chick, and it's adequate for me. Sure, there's some movement, but I've never known anyone to willingly hold still while I fire off knees and kicks into them anyways.
I think it depends on how you like to utilize your time on the heavy bag, and how many heavy bags you have the luxury of hanging. If this will be the sole bag hanging, maybe you would prefer a heavier one to withstand power punches as well as the clinch work.
fwiw, I've not yet had any issue with the straps

I've used the Fairtex tear drop bag.
and in my gym I have the Combat Sports one
and the Windy one
I would rate them in this order: Windy, Fairtex, Combat Sports.
The windy is bigger than the other two and is heavier. Can also be used for kicking and punching. The Fairtex is leather. The CS is OK.

I also just recently bought a teardrop bag. Unfortunately I bought the Everlast "MMA" teardrop bag, on sale online. The $100 price was pretty appealing, but the bag is a piece of shit, and that is politely put. The packing of the bag causes it to develop these random hard spots throughout the bag, not just at the bottom, as would be expected. The bag is garbage! Just ordered a Windy one last week. In short, cheap is good, cheap quality is not so good. Good news, the Everlast bag works great to tie up to a rope, around your waist and run up hills with!

i have to go against the grain here. i'm not a big fan of the teardrop bag.
some people like to use them for knees, but i think they develop the bad habit of kneeing up instead of out.
and at 185 lbs. i want to hit something that doesnt go flying halfway across the gym when i put my weight into it. there isnt a half bag on the planet that wont swing like a money in the jungle when i lay into it. unless you're gonna have a trainer hold the bag for you so it doesnt fly all over the place, all you can do on those things is pitter patter.
i only really use the 6ft bag, and the extra wide 6 ft bag, because they actually have enough weight on them to provide some impact resistance when i hit them full power. not to mention low kicks, which are hard to train full power with thai pads or anything else, without hurting your partner.
unless youre training for karate/ american kickboxing rules where theres no low kicks and all kicks land with the feet, i'd say go with all 6 ft bags. and buy at least one thats extra wide.
