Tapout Sizing

How do the Tapout board shorts fit? I want to get a pair but I’m unsure what size to get them in. I ware a 38, but I could get into a 36 if I needed to for normal shorts. Do they fit big or small?

I’m getting a signature series pair so no “tapout sucks” needed…

I thought tapout had a pretty good reputation, why would you expect to see "tapout sucks" ?

Some of the people on this board think that if you don't wear sprawl your not a real fighter. They think only Newbs and wannabes wear tapouts.

agreed - I think most of the anti-tapout crowd has to do with a dislike of the 'tapout crew' and how the image they choose for themselves. That, and they have some ridiculous and ugly designs. I would go outside in my boxers before I ever put on a pair of Grandma's Drawls or Way Past Plutos.

They do have some good designs as well - I like most of their signature fighter series (like Franklins, like Horn's, like Diego's) - but IMO alot of their designs are crap as well.

And they are the most image-centric mma company. There's really no other legitimate explanation for why some of their shorts run $50-70 when there is little that is outstanding about the actual structure of the shorts. They advertise their shorts with a model sitting on a toilet, they sell posters of the owners. They've created an image and market it for themselves. That's going to generate ire from people who dislike that.

In my exsperience they tend to run a little small, if you in between sizes, I definatly would go a size up rather then down. Hope that helps.
