Tapout quality during training

I ask alot of questions about MMA shorts because .....I don't have any sadly I train in basketball shorts that bunch up and give me wedgies when i'm rolling around on the mat.

Since I found a pair of Tapouts in my size (and since it's so fuckin hard to find a pair of Tapouts you like in your size for a good price) i'm getting them just to try them out then i'll get a pair of SPRAWLS,then some No Gi's,then when I slim down i'll buy some Clinchgears.

If you have a pair of Tapouts and you train in them how well do they hold up?

they hold up fine..i own both the long shorts and the boardshorts and couldnt be happier with both..all the logos are embroidered..there is plenty of leg room in either model to get the job done..youll be happy with them

anything is better then basketball shorts, but thats how i started as well until i bought my first pair of tapouts

Happy with mine. I'd love to see some SPRAWL Camos though.

I love my Tapout long shorts and could not be happier with them. they have a lot of hip and leg room and have a muay thai shorts/board shorts feel when it comes to the way they fit. no other brand has this type of fit that i am aware of. they are very strong and well made; probably the strongest non-stretch MMA shorts you can buy.

No complaints with my tapout long shorts, I think they are superior for kicking, sprawls for grappling. Cant go wrong either way

I use Sprawl V-Flex XT - they're great but the black nylon inbetween the legs is kind of unsightly now (I think the velcro stuck to it and ripped off the smoothness..it's all rough now -_-)..Anyways, I guess from how much everybody is promoting the Tapout shorts, I oughta pick a pair out myself I got the Sprawl because I knew they stretched, and you need no restrictions in Muay Thai..especially in high kicking. But apparently the Tapout are fine so hey, go for it

And yes, Sprawl SHOULD make camo shorts T_T..

Oh..I have a question. How do the Tapout LONG SHORTS perform for kicks? Because..from the images I can't tell if they are open or closed seam - ..what are they?

See pic: http://secure.inyaface.com/index.cfm...512&EcatID=510

I can't see closed-seam giving you the stretch you need for those high kicks..but maybe I'm wrong? Someone please advise

Oh..and also, what material ARE these shorts made of - cotton?

i have never rolled in them (use sprawls for that) but i kickbox in tapouts and they hold up just fine and i find no trouble in kicking with them either...closed seam
