Icon10 ssf grappling shorts

just got a pair of the whites in the mail minutes ago, and I'm rocking `em right now. Sadly, it's going to be a few days before I get to train in them, but I wanted to hurry up and post a few things, in case anyone is holding out...

nice fit-- true to usual size you'd get comfy jeans in. roomy waist is easily adjusted for with both drawstring and a multi-piece velcro connection. Neat configuration on this, Ron. I apologize for not having a camera, but I guess I'd describe it as a multi-latch kinda thing. the velcro isn't just one flap like the sprawls, but 2, one over another. This way, I'm assuming, you can make a sturdier adjustment on your waist size than the drawstring alone.

The elastic on the sides is nice, I especially like the wider band it has-- reminds me of boxing shorts. Stretch panels seem to be the same as sprawls are featuring these days. Material is comfy and seems sturdy, though not as stretchy as v-flexes. Side seam cuts are good length. Seat is roomy when on the ground, I foresee no restrictions to movement on the ground or when kicking.

forgive the narrow frame of reference here, in comparing these to only sprawls. I will gladly compare these to nogi's shorts whenever the pair I ordered arrive.

initial reaction: fine shorts, I'll likely add more to my collection as payday allows. These will easily make the regular rotation of training wear w/ my sprawl v-flexes. The price only adds value to an already nice pair of shorts.

Nice, I plan on ordering the new SSF shorts to my wardrobe as well. They seem to have made some improvements to their old shorst which I have used in the past and been very happy with.

We will be placing another order soon. We are selling them fast so what color/color combo would you like to see added?

Something other than black in the stretch pannel maybe? One example is Reversal (not 100% sure) has white shorts with red between the legs. Stuff like that maybe. Green and black would be cool too, but a normal green, not dark, or olive.

To be honest I really like the color combos you already have Maybe if you could get white or other colors for the flex panels it would add more variety. Blue or Red flex with the black would look good. Natural colors like brown and olive seem to be in, although they are not my favorites.

agreed on green, and the elusive "something we haven't seen" idea. Teal, a nice deep purple? I was actually hoping sprawl would re-release the yellows as v-flexes, so there's another option.

kind of a pinch, though-- would this forum allow for a poll? I mean, we could all suggest colors, but if they don't sell well, then Ron takes a nasty hit to the wallet. If that would violate the rules here, maybe a poll on ssfgear.com?
