Rival gear is pretty cool.
So I just ordered some stuff from Rival Gear, which works out well since they're in Canada like me, so shipping is pretty decent. I bought a mouthgaurd, to see how good they are, a nice new skipping rope and a pair of bag gloves. I figured I might as well try Rival since I needed some new gloves for hitting the bag anyways.
These are the gloves, I got them in the cool blue color shown...

Anyways, anyone else try out these Rival gloves? Just wanna know if anyone else has any opinions on them.

I picked up the RB20 gloves...
http://www.rivalboxing.com/e/rb20-e.html
(yes they're expensive but relative to other sports equipment it's not that big a deal for me because I figured they would last a while). I'm really happy with them. They have great wrist support and excellent cushioning. I've also bought their Mexican Wraps and a TitleBoxing Muay Thai bag through them, (they're distributors here in Canada). Anyway, as good as the equipment is the customer support is absolutely outstanding. I had an "issue" with the bag and they have been great to deal with. Highly recommended.

I smell it too.
Doesn't matter much though, Rival does make some great stuff. Just wish they made some Thai gear, like Shinnies and Thai pads. Hint, hint.

Groan.
You know, as soon as I posted this I thought someone was going to assume I was some kind of shill for RivalBoxing given that this was my first post and I was going on about the great product and service. The truth is, I've read Sherdog for awhile and didn't bother signing up to post. I actually discovered that Rival even existed through this form. Anyway, I just thought that my experience was positive so others would be well served by trying them.
The bag I bought through Rival came ripped , (a tear about the size of a quarter), and they did a great job working with UPS and TitleBoxing to deal with the situation, (actually they told me to keep the one with the tear and they would send me a new one as well). The only crappy part was that the second one came with an even bigger rip, (about 2 inches), so now Rival is working with TitleBoxing and UPS again. I suppose I should thank TitleBoxing as well for being so accomodating.
Anyway, that's my story and you can believe it or not. The annoying part is that I have pictures of my ripped bag, (took them for the UPS claim), on my computer and don't know how to post them yet. If I can sort that out soon I'll post it for the sceptics out there.

The gloves and wraps came in about 3 days if I remember. I'm in Toronto so I'm probably close to some major postal hub. It might be a little longer for you but either way, shouldn't be more than a week. The one thing I did though was check their inventory. When I was first speaking to their order desk they said they didn't have the gloves in stock and wouldn't for a few weeks. So if yours were in stock you should have them really quickly. I hope they work out for you.
