question for guys who have both clinchgear and sprawl shorts

I'm seriously contemplating on getting a pair of clinchgear shorts, but since it has no drawstring, i wanna be sure I get the right size.

I can fit in a size 30 with sprawls and truths, but in most board shorts that doesn't have an elastic waistband, I wear a 32.

Its my hips/ass since they're bigger, I oftentimes need to get a bigger size.

I tired to fit in tapout long shorts 32s but they were big and I needed to really tighten the drawstring

Hope you guys can give me some inputs whether t

clinch gear has some great customer service, so my first advice would be to call them up and chat with them. Aaron's always been really on top of things from my interactions with clinch gear.

but in comparing the shorts you already have, size wise I'd say you should get at least 32s in clinchgear, maybe even 34s (do they offer 33s? seems some shorts company actually had odd number sizing as well, can't recall...)

but I'd certainly defer to clinch gear's advice.

hope this helps.

From what I've seen, nearly all companies have even number sizing.... Sprawl is a noted exception which used to/still has a 33

I just got the Ruby red clinch gear shorts in a 32, they fit really well, im 5'10 160. They got a great adjustable hook and loop enclosure so you can loosen or tighten them to your liking

The 32 in CG is probably 33 exactly. I wear a 34 in Sprawl (Never undo the velcro, use the elastic and tie to tighten), and 32 in CG is a good fit. I wear a 32 in jeans.

CG has a mesh-like (not translucent) area on the sides that is somewhat stretchy. The crotch area is heavily reinforced.

I would get 30s if you wear a 30 in jeans, without a belt. I would definitely not get a 34, and probably not even a 32.

CG and Sprawl are basically perfect shorts. CG are probably the lightest shorts I've used, and have had no issues in performance or wear in 10 months. I would rather roll or work standup in regular running shorts than Truth.

i wear size 36 n sprawl, theyre nice n loose how i like it....1st pair of clinch gears i got i got in size 34 cuz i was scared of the no drawstring...theyre pretty tight, and actually theyre real short so i dont use em much (im 6'3) the 2nd pair i got was a 36 and they fit perfectly...basically what im sayin is they will be SLIGHTLY tighter than sprawls if you order the same size
