and yes u could hang it from a tree also ,just make sure the branch won't break . no clue why people would say that you can't . or use a portable basketball net , there's plenty off different shit you can do to hang it .

if you have a basketball goal, lower it as low as it goes and hang it, thats what i do and its pretty good
