is the gold weave competition legal? would anyone advise in wearing anything other than a single in competition?

You can wear whichever weave you like in competition.
Check out my post in the Review forum about weaves and how they differ.
The main thing in competition is the fit and color and that is not even strictly enforced. It depends on the tournament.
The strictest guys are IBJJF and you can look up the proper uniform guidelines on their website.

Received the latest P&S gold weave in the mail. Excellent fit around the arms too. Really happy with it.

what was wrong with the arms in the previous P&S gold weaves?

any change in the collar?

The A2 fits me better than the A3. There's less space inside the sleeves. The collar is 1/8 inch smaller than the previous gold weaves.

lol so the change in fit/arms and collar must be completely attributable to ordering a size down instead of an actual change in design/cut by P&S

The new gold weave collar is harder to grip than my previous one. I spoke to Joe yesterday and he has some more surprises on the way.

A. really?? this is news to me since I have never heard that Joe improved the collars!
