Padilla & Sons Kimonos

According to their website -- Padilla & Sons Kimons - Martial Arts Kimonos and Training Supplies -- they are coming out with a "NEW Gold Weave."
Anybody have the straight dope on it?

I already have their gold weave (AND their light weight model) and love it.
the only way they can improve on it, IMHO, is to upgrade the collar ...

how is the lightweight? can you give us some details? I hear they are very similar to Koral classics. is the collar junk?

I believe I read somewhere that the new gold weave will be in black. Not sure about any structural changes. Looks like he's raising his prices a little as well. My only two gis are the blue g/w and the hybrid. Love them both. My only gripe was how long the A5 skirt was on me. (6'0" 260lbs)

I wish they had a better cut. The sleeves are real big on my P&S and the torso was real baggy.

If they had the same cut as my Atama Mundial I would buy one of every colour

Website says new inventory in August but they're still out of stock, I've been waiting to grab a lightweight for a while now.

in regards to lightweight models, I prefer the Atama Ultra-Lite over the P&S Light Weight.

FYI, I prefer the P&S Gold Weave over the Atama Gold Weave

I have both the P&S Gold weave and the new single. I like the fit on my gold weave better, wish I would have went with a size smaller on the competition single weave I bought. I also got a pair of their shorts and absolutely love them. By far the best shorts I own. Also you just cant beat the customer service, they are real class acts at P&S.
