Hopefully I get this correct - Top Contender is basically Combat Sports' economic line (Similar to CageWalk a subdivision/sister company of Sprawl). Usually they should theoretically have a few less thrills or featuers, but I really don't knwo how you would over-simplify handwraps - I'd persume they're just like the Combat Sports handwraps, but under their own brandname.

yeh i know about that top contender=csi's value line... but i'm just wondering about the quality of top contender's wraps..

how is the thickness?, how is the durability?, how is the stretch compared to other mexican wraps?.. since it's a value line, is it lesser in all these areas compared to regular mex wraps?

The Ringside Gel Handwraps are a bitch to get use too. The scrape the knukles can feel overly tight leading to me taking them off. I bought them because they were on sale and I wanted to protect my hands better than Mexican Handwraps but In all honesty I swear by the Mexican handwraps!

I've had good luck with Top Contender wraps. They're about as thick as the regular cotton Century wraps I've used, and they're slightly elastic and 180 inches long. Great deal, I use them all the time. I think they're just cheaper because they're not made in Mexico like Ringside's yellow mexican wraps (which I want badly but don't want to spend the extra money on)

contender is actually ringside value brand, and CSI is ringside mma line. For example when they fill heavy bags though CSI and ringside they will put one inch or three inches of padding between the filling and the bag. Top contender has no padding.

If you are looking for top contender gear to go ringside main page, they have a bigger list of equipment.

Ah, thanks for the clarification - I knew there was some combination between the 3 companies/brands, I just couldn't remember which was the 'big daddy' of them all.
