Nutty Buddy video review

That is a person taking a crowbar to another persons nuts. The vid is at this link,
The Fight Nerd | The Fight Nerd VS The Nutty Buddy and is a test of the Nutty Buddy groin cup for MMA purposes like throwing, striking, and grappling, plus some direct impact tests such as that, a taser and a kettlebell.
Is the Nutty Buddy worth protecting your boys? Watch the vid to see!

I have a nutty buddy and its cool and all but it doesn't work while grappling for me. It doesn't have any type of padding at all on the edge that is pressing against your pelvic bone. When I get a guy in an arm-bar or I'm on my stomach and get flattened out the pain kills me...... I had to go back to my old cup which is not near as comfortable as the nutty buddy but it doesn't cause pain...

is this the same cup that was on sports science that they had the creator of it standing in front of a pitching machine taking baseballs to the nads at like 80 mph?

I bought one a while back, wore it a couple times but it just didn't feel right to me. The boys would keep falling out of place and the edges on the Nutty Buddy were torture.

I was attempting to pass someone's guard in class while standing, he pushes me away but somewhat hits the Nutty and drives it into where my thigh and pelvis meet (the crease I suppose) and it kind of gave me a slight cut/awful indentation in the skin about 3 inches long that chaffed like a mofo.

Stick with Shock Doctor; titanium one for striking, flexible plastic for grappling. Plus the rubber sides make a real difference in comfort.

I did a review a while back on the NB. I still use it and love it. Never had a major problem with it while grappling and have been saved by it on numerous occasions in stand up. I wear it kinda religiously.

Sad part is, I was hitting pads with a friend who trained wrestling and boxing and we took a break. He asked me some technique questions regarding clinch and TD defense. One thing led to another and I got a leg square in the junk then puked my guts out. My left teste literally swelled to about the size of an egg. I had to go to the ER for an ultra sound and nothing is fun about laying there while a 90 year old man who looks like he is enjoying his job waaaay to much presses the damn ultra sound do-dad into your excessively swollen testiculars. I had to take two weeks off of work. Good news was even though I waited 29 hours before going to the ER, I didn't have to have one of the twins de-conjoined or removed or whatever you want to call it. Oh yeah and nothing makes your noodle look like macaroni like a bocci ball hangin between your legs.

Anyway, wear a cup, any cup. I like the NB because my boys are protected by armor and my shock Dr just doesn't give me the same comfort level. That's just me though. I just wanted to say, I like the thing, oh and when one of my taters got mashed, I happened to be wearing a NB t-shirt. Hows that for stupidity?
