Disappointing considering someone had said they used to be made in Canada....
Haha. Everything is made in China now. Maybe I can get a pair when I go to Shanghai for work later this year.

Yea I know its not that good because it will take away jobs that could be done in Canada in this instance. So many damn companies are sending their work to be done overseas nowadays. I wouldn't be surprised if pharmaceutical companies in the US start having that crap made in Mexico or Asia soon if it is not already.

They looked pretty good. I was thinking of getting the black ones, so it was nice to see how they looked in action.

I'm not sure, but it looked like Karo cut the split seams about 2 inches longer on his shorts. If you look closely, you can kinda see what look like cuts to lengthen them.

I suppose you could... but that'd make them a very expensive pair of beach shorts. Also, the design with split seams, elastic waistband closure and flex panels doesn't make them look like prototypical board shorts anymore, they look like shorts designed for fighting.

By comparison, Nogi and Hitman shorts look very much like regular boardshorts that would look more natural on the beach than the Hayabusas.
