I'm still not 100% sure were on the same page... nausea =/= gag. I've NEVER heard of anyone get nausea from a mouth guard. If it is the gag reflex, try trimming the upper back part that lines the top of your mouth... That should help!

careful not to trim too much off the back, really you shouldn't have to trim any if you bought the right size BB, but that is the portion that separates your jaw, creating the space between your jaw base and your brain, i.e. where you could get a concussion...

I'm not sure what the guard is made of, but maybe you're allergic to the rubber/plastic/latex/whatever it's made of. See if there are other guards in different materials or see a doctor about getting tested for allergies.

I too have the same exact problem, and I also have the 20 dollar shock doctor. I thought it was the cheaper guards but it turned out to be the the issue with all the boil and bite guards.

I roll with it in for 10 second, start getting the urge to vomit, take it out.. and I'm fine.

It sucks because I'm always defending my face in fear of losing my teeth!

There is really only one way to fix this...
The BnB's are just a bit on the "bulky" side, but lack the extra protection.

Don't even say it Foz, the putty's on the way! lol!

I've heard of people feeling nauseous. typically it's either the guard pushing on your gums or that the guard it too thick. With the latter case it seems to throw your jaw and neck out of alignment and can lead to headaches after some time wearing it. I've seen some guys at class wearing doubles that were two or three inches thicking and complaining about feeling dizzy and having a headache.
