Gladitor Mouth gaurds & Protech

I have been trying to decide what brand custom mouth guard to get. I have been leaning more towards Gladiator. I would like to know what people think about them. Also, what happened to the Pro tech mouth guard company.

Protech seems to have self destructed. Lots of people out money, with no guards to show for it. Web site is down. Emails being deleted w/o being read, etc.

Jawzz or Smartguard seems the way to go now for a custom guard.

Yea it seems like they were erased from the face of the earth. Too bad I've heard a lot of good things about them. Smart guards is in Canada, and you have to pay for shipping... What about Gladiator?

For a detailed account of my experience with Protech as well as other's, see the thread Got Shafted By Protech. It's long, but makes for a pretty interesting read as it's pretty detailed and a bit like watching the Titanic sink.

Everybody here likes to bash Gladiator, but the fact is they make great guards, and you'll receive it quickly. I know dozens of people who fight with Gladiator Mouthguards and love them. If you don't want to buy a Gladiator because Tom and John don't get along, that seems kind of silly. Your loss I guess.

Pro or Elite?

If I'm doing light to heavy sparring should I get Gladiators Pro, or Elite guard?

Thanks for all the helpful comments

i love my gladiator. i dont remember exactly but it was definetely under 14 days to get my completed guard in the mail from when i ordered it. even with my crooked/uneven/different levels jaw it works fantastic. the only problems i had was the top edge dug in my gums a little but soaking it in hot water according to the directions and wearing it a few time fixed that problem. also it was a little narrow when i first got it, meaning it had to be bent so the rear spread, however the heating process fixed that also. there was also a few ridges on the inside kinda like a washboard that irritate and tore(long wear without heating) my gums, but the heating fixed that also

so i guess even if it doesnt fit perfectly right away you can fix it.

ill definetely get another.

p.s. i only know one other person with one, and shes happy with it.
