Glove Question

Hello Sherdoggers, I have a question about gloves, and what better place to post it but here...
So I'm gonna be buying my sparring gloves as soon as I make up my mind about something. I've been looking at the Windy gloves that Paul sells at MMAMuscle.com. But I'm wondering if I should get 16's or 18's. The 18's offer more safety for my partners and my knuckles, but 16's are standard for sparring. I wonder if I would be at too much of a disadvantage when I fight at smokers in the future. (havn't done my 1st one yet) Would it actually be worth it to get both?
Any thoughts will be appreciated.

I've got those same gloves in 16's....and as you said I got them in that size since it's a standard sparring size. I'd think that the protection would be adequate....otherwise it wouldn't be standard. At least that's my reasoning.

16's

I mean 18's would work, not a huge deal, but they are very big.

16oz. for sure. I personally own Windys but, I would recommend SSF or CSI. If you don't mind spending more money you can always grab some Fairtex or Twins.

I couldn't wait so I just ordered the 14's from mmamuscle.com. From what I've read windys are one of the strongest gloves but would be a little tough on your sparring partner so I may get so SSF or Twins at a later date.

Hey Red,

The 14's are very nice still, and Windy is top notch. You'll like them. They start out a little stiff but break in over time.

The heavier the glove the better the training I always say!
