MMA Warehouse...

I must say, MMA Warehouse usually deliverys the goods, and I ALWAYS give them props whenever I can, but with the good I guess I have to post the bad.

I know their volumes are increasing rapidly, and maybe that's to blame, but this order really bugs me. To be fair, it's my 6th order with them, and my first truly bad experience to get that out of the way.

Anyway, I've been checking their site with regularity for the last couple months waiting for them to restock the Fairtex zip up hoodie in black XXL. It took forever, but I finally clicked on their site and saw it was in stock week ago. I was ecstatic. I immediately ordered it, and threw in a couple Bioflex cups as the jocks tend to wear out pretty quickly. Anyway, I was finally getting my black zip up hoodie in XXL....

Well, as usual, they shipped my product very quickly. I got home from work today with a package waiting, and ripped it open like it was Christmas. To my dismay, they got only 1 of the items correct. I ended up with....

1 XXL Fairtex BROWN Pullover Hoodie
1 Bioflex cup
1 Carbon cup

How could they get it so wrong? How I'm out $10 to ship the package back and a bunch of hassle leaving work ealry to get the package shipped back to them. I live an hour away from the UPS store and I'll need to leave work early to even get there before it closes. What a clusterf...

Needless to say, I'm very disappointed, but if their past service is any indication they will fix this issue and I'll continue to sing their praise any chance I get. I guess on the bright side they waited for my smallest and least expensive order to screw up.

Please help MMAWarehouse...

Check, and I also PM'd them. Anyway, like I said, I post great things about them whenever I get the chance, so I really should post the bad too. Do you disagree? I was only trying to be fair. You can check my previous posts about them, they have been more than positive.

no, you should wait until you hear back from them and not clutter stuff up.

may I point out-- on their website, the hoodie you ordered was item 1030, the one you got was 1031. This could've been a simple human error mix-up, as I'll bet the bins for each item are in close proximity.

I could be dead wrong, but you can see my logic, yeah?

business hours (theirs and yours) may make it tricky, but have you called them yet? online communications are varying in their reliability per vendor-- some are so buried in emails they take a while to get back, others may have spam filter settings too high. etc.

I get miffed as the next person over faulty orders, and while this forum is an excellent tool for communication at times, I think what foz is suggesting is that before posting here, you probably ought to have reasonably exhausted phone contact attempts, then email contact attempts, and so on before calling someone on the carpet here. (has this idea, or one of similar ilk been sticky material?)

it's not like sherdog.net is the little black phone w/ a direct line to the president. (are they?)

I don't mean to come off snarky in this, if I do. Hope you get your mishap resolved soon.

I get what you're saying, but I also knew they frequent this forum. I'll probably give them a call tomorrow to see what they can do if I don't hear back from them on here or through e-mail. I understand order mix ups happen, that's why I'm giving them a chance to make it right.

Patience

Hi Heavy Bag,

I am sorry to hear that you had experienced problems on this particular order, but I will guarantee that this is just a simple mistake and that MMA Warehouse will take care of you completely. Please remember the great service that you had received from them in the past 5 orders and practice some patience to allow them the time to make it right for you.

Even though I agree with your statement about leaving good feedback and as well as leaving negative, my personal opinion is that it is not completely fair to the reputation of any company in a public forum to leave a negative statement until you have allowed them a reasonable opportunity to correct the problem. When negative posts are placed on open forums such as this, they end up making impressions on potential new customers for that particular company. If the post is negative, even slightly, it can cause possible lost sales. Certainly not fair for any company that prides itself on customer service and has established their integrity because of that philosophy.

Please also keep in mind that everything that is typed in these forums is ultimately cached and searchable from most search engines. The way that search engines present this information may have a lasting and far reaching negative impact on a companies reputation. (Note: Heavy Bag this isn't directed at you, this is just an fyi for everyone reading this post...) I will give you an example, (please bare with me):

Post Title: XYZ Messed up my order!

"XYZ Company completely screwed up my order! I ordered "A" Product and "B" Product, but totally messed up and sent me "C" product. I called the 800 number this afternoon though and their customer service was great! They appologized and sent me the correct products right away, and even threw in some stickers and gave me a discount towards my next purchase for my troubles. XYZ company is the best"

Now if you were to read all the above post, you would think: Hey! XYZ Company made an error but they really have great customer service and fixed the problem. I'll shop there for sure...

Now, see what happens when this post is cached by a search engine. The search engine will only display the first few sentences from that post in their description. If you did a seach for XYZ Company, the following item would show up in your search engine search:

"XYZ Messed up my order! XYZ Company completely screwed up my order! I ordered "A" Product and "B" Product, but totally messed up and sent me "C" product. I called the 800 number..."

To compond the problem, search engines display links to sites which rank high in traffic ratings and related content first, so sites like sherdog which have a high traffic rating usually rise to the top.

I'm sorry to make this post so long winded, but I felt that everyone should reflect a little on what they say before they say it. If you went to Walmart and bought a product and were unhappy with it, you would likely just go back to Walmart to return the item, and if you were still unhappy, you would speak to the manager, if that didn't please you you would go to head office etc... It's doubtful that you would put an adverisment in the local paper or post up a billboard on the freeway saying that you were unhappy... well most people wouldn't, at least until you have exhausted all reasonable means to resolve the issue directly with the company.

Why not practice some restraint and allow the proven reputable companies the opportunity to correct the problem before broadcasting it for the world to digest? (Once again Heavy Bag, this is not directed at you, this is just a subject that I felt I needed to voice my opinion on)

My two cents...
Chris

most people only wait about 20 minutes after an email before they create a post about how they had to wait SOOO long for a reply.
