MMA Training Gear (Shin Guards)

I'm trying to get all the gear to safetly spar in MMA. I do a lot of training and want to make sure I do everything right so I don' risk injury since I'm very busy. So far from what I've been told the CSI and Shooto training gloves are good training gloves... I was wondering if you guys had any other reccomendations of equiptment to get. Any advice on a good pair of shin/instep guards. I saw theses http://www.scientificstreetfighting....07&product=229 ... was told everlast has some good ones. Just hoping someone out there had some advice maybe if you got a good setup yourself. Would appreciate the input...

Thanks

I like The little cloth ones better. They dont offer as much, but they will toughen up your shins.

Well have any of you used these CSI ones and found them to have too much padding. I read some reviews and some mentioned them to be rather thin. I want to build my shins up as well as protect them but I don't want to have too much padding. Also does anyone know how the sizing works on these. I'm about 6 ft 170....
